The used skid steer business has changed a lot since I opened Texas Skid Steer. At one time most of the used skid steers we sold were to local Texas farmers and ranchers, now we sell skid steer loaders all over the world. I may be on the phone with a customer that lives in Oklahoma or Ohio, but is in Iraq at the time. We still sell a lot of skid steers to people in Texas, but many of our machines are sold to people who live in other states, and have never even been to Texas. The customers will go on the Internet and type in "Used Skid Steer" and they will find Texas Skid Steer, and start looking at our skid steers for sale, they will watch our videos, study the specs and prices, then they will call me, we will discuss their particular skid steer needs. Then they will be decide which machine they want to buy. I will send them an invoice by fax or email with all the information they need to pay by check or bank wire transfer, they will pay, and then their used skid steer will be delivered to them on a fully insured truck, and they own a skid steer without having to drive all over the country trying to find the right skid steer. Well, The phone has been ringing all day long at Texas skid Steer, I have had a lot of good coversations with people all over the USA concerning their used skid steer needs. One of the calls was from a man wanting to know which would be better for very steep hills, a wheel skid steer, or a rubber track skid steer. The rubber track machines are so much more stable than the wheel machines, so that was the skid steer advice that I gave him. Another customer from California wanted to know if it would be cheaper to buy a skid steer from us, and have it shipped, so we did the math, and we are shipping him a used skid steer, and he is saving a lot of money. 04-03-2013

We had a very good day today.We sold three used Skid Steers today. One Rayco steel tracked skid steer is going to a man in Arizona. A Caterpillar 236B sold to a local company, and a Caterpillar 287B sold to a Texas ranch owner. It seems like every spring is the same, the weather starts warming up, and people get back to work, and they start buying used skid steer loaders to get that work done. 04/08/2013

Today we had an employee of a large construction company come and inspect a Bobcat T300 Skid Steer. He liked the machine, had his boss give me a call, and we made a deal over the phone. He will be bringing a check tomorrow. I will deliver the Skid Steer to his job site the first of next week. 04/10/2013

The last week has been very busy, we have sold several used skid steers, as well as a lot of skid steer attachments. With the large amount of inventory that has been coming in, our mechanic shop, and detail shop has been very busy also. We buy used skid steers in large quanities, send them to our shop, after we know they are sound, we detail our used skid steers and put them for sale. This is the busy time of year for selling used skid steers. We have been getting a lot of Bobcat T300 and Bobcat T250 skid steer loaders in, as well as several used John Deere skid steers. Our used skid steer inventory has been turning over fast, it is a busy, but exciting time of year. 04/18/2013

We have been selling a lot of Skid Steer attachments. We normally do this time of year, with everyone wanting to get their spring chores done. I had a customer who drove down from Oklahoma today, he checked out our used skid steer loaders for sale, he didn't have a trailer, so we will be delivering his used skid steer to him in Oklahoma. He chose a John Deere CT322, a mediumn sized rubber track skid steer. 04/26/2013

It is a Saturday evening at 7pm, and my son Seth is showing a customer a used skid steer. We do not mind showing our skid steers on the weekend. It is 6am and I am answering all the emails that customers have sent regarding our used skid steers for sale. It is allways a pleasure to meet new people, and to help them with their skid steer needs. I am working with a customer named Roy Rogers at this time (Not the movie star) But a real nice guy, and a plesure to do business with, and I have had fun telling my friends that I am selling a used skid steer to Roy Rogers. 05/16/2013

We are getting our first triple digit days here in Texas. This has a lot of people thinking about purchasing a used skid steer with an air conditioned cab. Actually this is the worst time to buy a skid steer that has AC, because everyone else is thinking about how hot it is also, and this drives up the demand, and the demand drives up the price. If you can wait until the fall to buy an enclosed cab skid steer loader, you will get a much better deal on that used skid steer with enclosed cab and air.06/15/2013

Today we sold a Takeuchi TL130 rubber tracked skid steer to a ranch that is going to use it to clear the cedar trees. He also bought a new root grapple bucket for his skid steer to make moving them into piles an easy task. He chose the Takeuchi skid steer loader because he liked the joystick hand controls, and the two speed, as well as the steel undercarriage. Face it Takeuchi may have a funny name, but parts are easy to get, and they are awesome skid steer loaders. 07/08/2013

 Well it is raining in Texas, and this is great news for us in July. The rain hasn't slowed the calls we have received about our used skid steers for sale, in fact, I think it has increased them. Skid Steer sells are going great right now with winter coming on. There are some buying used skid steer loaders to help them with their taxes. No matter the reason, We are always happy to help anyone with skid steer information or adice, and of coarse we like it most when we gain a customer and friend by selling someone their used skid steer. 11-22-2013

Used Skid Steer loaders are selling very well right now, Mostly to those who would rather spend their hard earned money on a used Skid Steer to help them out around the farm or ranch, or construction site than to give it away in taxes.
